Of course, Ekerö and its islands have plenty of lovely swimming spots, bathing places and beaches. Here are our tips for a nice beach trip on Ekerö!
Södrans badplats
Here you’ll find a typical mälar bathing place with grass and sandy beach. There is also a floating jetty with a jump tower a bit out in the water and a kiosk. In addition, there is an outdoor gym for those who want to have a workout before a refreshing bath.
Lundhagens badplats
This spot is also located on Ekerön about 2 km from Södran’s bathing area. It offers changing rooms, toilets, cold water showers and a kiosk with coffee serving. Here you will find both HWC and an accessibility ramp. However, the parking area is said to be limited.
Mörby badplats
In the southeastern part of Färingsö you will find this well-kept family beach. Here’s a grassy area and a sandy beach, changing rooms, toilets, jetties and a pontoon jetty with a jump tower. There is also a play and barbecue area. During July, swimming classes are usually offered here.
Stockbybadet
If you go west on Färingsö, about 500 meters from Stenhamra center, you will find Stockbybadet. Jetties, swimming classes, changing rooms, swings, WC and a floating jetty are some of the things you’ll find here!
Den blå lagunen
If you go to Munsö you can find the Blue Lagoon, or Husbygropen which it’s really called. In the 90s, a large pit was made into an artificial bathing lake. The water here is turquoise and clear, hence the name – Blue Lagoon. This is an attractive destination, but keep in mind that parking possibilities are limited.
